Do chromhrá s' do shairdeas
Ba mhian liom i gconaí
'S oró grá mo chroí
Scéalta is amhráin
Go haosta le sléibhte
Cruaidh 's cróga le haois
Curfá:
Slán le na laethe
A bhí seal go haerach
Slán le na laethe bhí
Slán leis an oíche
A casadh orainn do'n chéad uair
Slán le na laethe bhí
Ag amharc ar an fharraige
'S an ghrian ar a'tsáile
'S oró grá mo chroí
Scéalta fa Bhalar
Sna trí Mhici Gorra
Oileáin seanda mar fhís
(Curfá) (= chorus!)
Bí liom a stórín samhradh go geimhreadh
Rún mó mhíle stór
Quant à ce qu'elle raconte, voici la traduction en anglais!
[center]Your protection and your friendship
Were always desired
And the great love of my heart
Stories and songs
Old as the mountains
Strong and brave with age
Good-bye to the days
That were turning so lightheartedly
Good-bye to the days that were
Good-bye to the night
Turning on the first hour
Good-bye to the days that were
At the sight of the sea
And the sun on the seashore
And the great love of my heart
Were stories and Balar
In three Mici Gorra
Ancient islands like a dream
had a sweetheart from summer up to winter
My dearest love

Re: Chants en Gaélique
Encore un que j'adoooooore!!!
et la version des "Celtic Woman"
SIUIL A RUIN
I wish I was on yonder hill
'Tis there I'd sit and cry my fill
Until every tear would turn a mill
Is go dté tú mo mhúirnín slán
Chorus (after each verse):
Siúil, siúil, siúil a rún
Siúil go sochair agus siúil go ciúin
Siúil go doras agus éalaigh liom
Is go dté tú mo mhúirnín slán
I'll sell my rock, I'll sell my reel
I'll sell my only spinning wheel
To buy my love a sword of steel
Is go dté tú mo mhúirnín slán
I'll dye my petticoats, I'll dye them red
And 'round the world I'll beg my bread
Until my parents shall wish me dead
Is go dté tú mo mhúirnín slán
I wish, I wish, I wish in vain
I wish I had my heart again
And vainly think I'd not complain
Is go dté tú mo mhúirnín slán
But now my love has gone to France
To try his fortune to advance
If he e'er comes back, 'tis but a chance
Is go dté tú mo mhúirnín slán
